Communications Controls

Serial Port: The only adjustment you will likely need to make with the Communications preference screen is to specify the port into which you plugged the StepWatch dock. Click on the pop-up menu to the right of the text: "Connect through this serial port." A list of all the possible ports will appear. Select the USB port you are using, then click the Save button.

To check that your communications are set up correctly, select Communications Test from the Utilities section of the Monitors menu. Click the "Check Dock" button to verify that your computer is in communication with the docking station.
